ABYA YALA
ENGLISH CORNER Captur38

Abia Yala or Abya Yar (land of blood, young land, still being born): Name that the Kunas give to the American continent. According to the oral history of the Kuna people, the Earth has, until today, gone through four historical stages of its evolution. A different name of the continent belongs to each stage: Gwalagun Yala, Dagargun Yala Yaladingua Yala and finally, Abia Yala, land of blood in its broadest sense.

Etymologically, the word Abya Yala comes from two words: "Abe" which means blood and "Yala" which means space, territory. It would therefore mean a land of blood. However, it has other meanings such as: land in full maturity, land of vital blood, land of life, noble land that welcomes everyone. Territory also saved, preferred, loved, and as a land in permanent youth. The traditional authorities, the Sailamar (great poets) argued as follows: "they all use the name of America for our continent, but we have deposited the real name which for us is Abya Yala, and which means land in permanent youth, land blood ... Placing foreign names on our cities and continents is tantamount to submitting our identity to the will of our invaders and their heirs ". Since then, indigenous peoples and their organizations, as well as social movements and cultural groups in Latin America and other regions of the world, use the name Abya Yala in their speeches and political documents.

And that is why Abya Yala, a vital land and mature in blood, ever young ... is a designation that is gaining strength and adopted by many peoples every day. Calling America Abya Yala, they also recover the struggle for the affirmation of their territories in homage to the Kuna; the pioneers with their revolution of 1925, and the creation of the first indigenous autonomy in 1930.

Second, the use of the term "Abya Yala" instead of "New World" or "America" has ideological implications indicating support for the rights of indigenous peoples. Today, Abya Yala has become a universal concept for indigenous peoples, a self-designation, as a counterpoint to America and gives a sense of unity and belonging. It is part of a process of political identity construction, part of this process of decolonization of thought, which is one of the characteristics of this new cycle of struggles and movements of indigenous peoples. Abya Yala is a symbol of struggle, construction and recovery of territories and new political lexicons, because language also territorializes, generates identity, gives its own name; it constitutes a form of appropriation of space, of its history, of its worlds.

This story begins thousands of years ago, this story is long, it is rich, it is full of wisdom, of lessons for life, for leading our people properly, for defending Mother Earth. These wisdoms were bequeathed by great personalities, men and women, who left us the "Anmar danikid igar" or our history linked to that of Abya Yala.

FUCKING EVOLUTION
Here is a catch-all book, a notebook containing anecdotes, reading notes, borrowings, philosophical and scientific speculations and religio-mystical exegesis embellished with press articles and essays gleaned here and there during several decades. How to say : a novel-essay or a fictionalized essay. You choose !
This novel / notebook is inspired by an ancient literary genre belonging to classical Chinese literature : the Biji, which contains everything the author sees fit to record. The genre originated in the Wei and Jin dynasty and reached maturity in the Tang dynasty. Thanks Douglas Coupland for the info. So here is a novel / Biji structured from personal anecdotes, reading notes, articles and passages from books consulted over a lifetime ... A literary novel / testament.
A young autistic child becomes the guinea pig of his emeritus neurologist father who tries a frontal trepanation experiment, Hindu third eye style. It turns out that the material used is the result of a fusion impact during the fall of a meteorite responsible for the immense crater located in New Quebec. This extraterrestrial material called "impactite" has incredible properties such as superconductivity at room temperature. This superconductivity released by the frontal implant will have unpredictable repercussions on the future brain of the young autistic and also, the future of evolution of man.

THE HISTORY OF THE SEEKERS OF UNKNOWN GOD
"History is only the evolution of the idea of God in mankind." (Esquinos)
The study of archetypes and universal mythologies shows that there is no time when spirituality was absent from the fate of man. At all times, it is at the center of different conceptions of the world and of a value system corresponding to each. The history of mankind teaches us then that the representation of God is not static but dynamic, that it evolves according to our knowledge. God is a concept, a nomadic idea: NOMADEUS.
The beginning of the twentieth century marked an unexpected return of the concept of the “cosmic god” thanks to the work of physicists in relativity and quantum mechanics. But before we get there, we must understand how the era of the "tribal god" came about and above all understand why this "moral god" still affects the destiny of man. Once this observation has been established, we will then be able to approach more healthily this "update" of the cosmic God revealed by modern science.

NOMADIC EXPLORATIONS
The nomads are the founders of humankind who have a wisdom and a way of life and die in respect with the immutable rhythm of the seasons. In Greek "prairie" was called nomos and the nomad was a chief or elder of the clan who presided over the distribution of pastures. Nomos came to mean "just distribution of what is established by use" and constitutes the basis of all international territorial law. Nowadays, we keep nomadism as an opposition to sedentary, as a way of life focused on displacement. Postmodern nomadism is the great cosmopolitan illusion. A stateless person, a citizen of the world, the postmodern subject wants continually to be elsewhere provided that this elsewhere contains the minimum of comfort, of security, in other words, somewhere else must be a little like ours. We are no longer nomads since we travel the world as tourists strolling through an exotic souk sniffing the lowest price as in any Wall Mart of this world. All artifacts are on the shelves of the world's largest supermarket.
Cosmopolitanism, as practiced by the "world generation", transforms into icons of the modernity of nations and peoples that are lost in misery and deculturation. We love these reservoirs of mythological archaisms so much that we destroy those who are the instigators. Only the myth interests us since, as Barthes affirmed: "the function of myth is to evacuate the real" or, as a more general American said during the conquest of the West: "a good Indian is an Indian death. The Last Sperm Whale Hunters in Nord Atlantic
The Last Sperm Whale Hunters is an illustrated report on the life of the Azoreans and their legendary hunting technique as described by Melville in his famous novel Moby Dick. The report is followed by a historical text entitled "Des cetaceans and men". It was by chasing whales that men discovered the world. Between the 12th and 14th centuries, Les Basques practiced whaling along the coast between Bayonne and Bilbao. Biarritz was for three centuries the most important port for Basque whalers. Encouraged by their successes and by the increase in supply and demand, the Basques began to pursue whales on the high seas. They thus sailed northward up the coasts of Europe to reach Iceland in 1412 ( Ruspoli). In contact with the Viking islanders and their sagas, they surely learned of the existence of a mythical land, Vinland, where the whales would take refuge. From Iceland to America there is only one easy step for these seasoned sailors. Some historians believe that the Basques, after the Vikings, would have also "discovered" America before Christopher Columbus and would have kept this discovery secret, wanting to protect their monopoly in cod fishing and whaling. Basque sailors were neither explorers in the service of the state nor colonizers, but fishermen engaged in a commercial activity, hence the importance of keeping the prosperous sea routes a secret. Around 1688, envoys from the King of England who came to America to study the economic conditions of the American colonies recommended, following the decline in populations of beavers and other over-exploited fur-bearing animals, that whaling be made the economic engine of the East Coast States. Whale oil was indeed the only source of energy available to light up American homes and cities then booming. In 1748, whaling and the oil trade became a powerful factor in American economic growth and the heart of this thriving business was located in Nantucket, an island off Cape Cod which inspired Herman Melville's famous Moby Dick. . The Americans made the Azores archipelago the center of their whaling fleet in the North Atlantic.

A Canadian prospector discovers an ore with incredible properties in New Quebec. These are fusion glasses also called impactites because they are formed following the impact of a molten meteorite. Under contract with a Japanese mining company, the prospector sends his samples to Japan, which on arrival are accidentally mixed with other minerals from Siberia. This accidental mixture will be at the origin of one of the greatest discoveries of modern science. When fused at high temperature, the two minerals reveal an incredible property of superconductivity at room temperature. One of the biggest dreams of modern science is coming true : converting liquid hydrogen into electricity. This discovery will have international scientific repercussions which will upset the planet's energy chessboard : the oil era is over. Japan has just taken global control over the production of hydrogen, the energy of the 21st century. All the chanceries in the world are in panic mode. The oil-producing countries of the Middle East, the big Western oil companies, feel for the first time their monopoly threatened. Moscow, Washington, New York, Ottawa, Quebec, Beijing, Tokyo became the site of intense diplomatic negotiations. Will liquid hydrogen become the economic stake that will tear the planet into interminable conflicts like oil was in the 20th century? Is Japan capable of imposing a “pax nipponica”?
